Growing up, my main sport was partner Latin dance which I trained and competed in for 10 years alongside 3 years of synchronized swimming and cross-country running. I've always been an adrenaline junkie and have a deep appreciation for yoga, calisthenics, and being active with purpose. I fell in love with aerials and circus as it is the perfect combination of inner peace through movement while also giving a great rush and the thrill of performance. I’m incredibly grateful to my duo partner Maya Revezs for showing me the ropes, silks, and lyra... and pole… and fire spinning…. And partner acrobatics…

Maya
@belladonna_ciel
My journey into circus arts began in first grade when I stole the spotlight singing "Le cirque" by Passe-Partout at my school’s talent show. From there, I learned fire spinning on family camping trips and participated in highschool airband contests. I started training aerials at age 17 with pole and hoop, eventually teaching gymnastics and silks at the Lake Country School of Dance. Since moving to Ottawa I've been re-inspired to perform by my circus partner Elizabeth Shevchenko. As a duo, we have created acts combining aerial acrobatics, drag performance and sometimes fire!
